St. Claire Retrofit
A full automation and engine safety system retrofit, delivered in January 2022- in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic .

On the third day of January, Høglund team of service engineers left for Southampton, UK, where they were to carry out retrofit of the ferry St. Claire. The vessel is commuting between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, and is owned by the ferry company Wightlink. For a period of 12 days, the vessel was alongside the peer in Southampton, for retrofit of the main engine safety & control system.
Following this first period, the vessel left for Falmouth, for a new service period of two weeks in a dry-dock. A complete IAS retrofit was delivered and the system tested before final trials by the Lloyd's Register on the 24th of January.
Despite the COVID19 pandemic and travel restrictions, our team once again managed to deliver a solid project in a very short time-frame!
