Retrofit of MAN-B&W Main Propulsion Engine

Onboard the Utkilen chemical tankers, Golfstraum & Rystraum we retrofitted the obsolete Sacos Safety & Control System for the MAN-B&W Main Propulsion Engine.
This retrofit involved removing the old obsolete Sacos components, installing complete new ABB AC800 hardware and S800 I/O hardware.

The old external PID regulators were removed and connected directly to ABB S800 I/O hardware, improving monitoring and control.

Høglund also cleaned up the old cabinets making them look almost brand new.


Høglund ECS retrofit gives you a new way of monitoring, controlling, and troubleshooting any issues on your engines.

The Høglund Operator Stations in ECR give the crew full overview of all signals, possibility to view and customize parameters and troubleshooting with trending and playback.

The Operator Stations can be set up with Fast-Data capture to trend and log all signals up to 50ms frequency.
