Successful delivery of Electramar (C275)

Høglund AS is proud to announce the successful delivery of Electramar (C275), the first vessel in a series of 12 built by the Indian shipyard Chowgule and Company Pvt. Ltd. - Shipbuilding Division for the Finnish company ESL Shipping.

Delivered on December 15, 2023, the vessel is equipped with a comprehensive hybrid-electric package (DC Multidrive, Shaft Generator, Lithium Battery System) and our advanced Integrated Alarm and Control System (IACS), Power Management System (PMS), Energy Management System (EMS), Pager System, Bridge Navigation Watch Alarm System (BNWAS), and Ship Performance Monitoring (SPM).

Taking full responsibility for the vessel's electrical system, Hoglund managed the design and integration of power generation and distribution, power and control integration of all electrical consumers and systems onboard, IO list, layout of the consoles (ECR and WH), cable management, etc.

“This project, with its diverse operational modes such as PTO, PTI Boost, PTH, Shore only, Harbour Generator, Auxiliary Generators and Battery, met challenging requirements for flexibility, energy-efficiency, and reduced maintenance costs.

A key component of the delivered equipment, the battery system, is preventing blackouts, but in the same time it is acting as a substantial buffer leading to stable DC and AC distribution systems” concluded the project manager, Sorin Manea.
