Høglund Engineers Shine at Jiangnan Shipyard Supplier Conference!

We are proud to announce that two of our remarkable service engineers, Trond Wærstad and Han Chen, have been recognized as Outstanding Engineers of the Year by the Jiangnan Shipyard, at their 12th Annual Supplier Conference on January 22nd, 2025. 

This well-deserved recognition honours their dedication and hard work on the newbuild series of VLEC vessels at Jiangnan, where Høglund delivered advanced integrated automation and control systems.

Trond Wærstad achieved an impressive 4-star rating, while Han Chen secured a well-deserved 3-star rating—an extraordinary accomplishment in a highly competitive field.

Why this recognition is extraordinary:

• The top award of 5 stars typically goes to major suppliers or prominent equipment manufacturers
• Out of 4,000 supplier companies and 600 equipment makers requiring service engineers on-site, only a selected few receive these honours
• This year, just 10 engineers earned a 4-star rating, and 15 engineers achieved a 3-star rating out of approximately 3,000 eligible engineers

Notably, Høglund stands out as the only supplier company to win two awards this year, highlighting the exceptional quality and reliability of our products and services.

This achievement reflects not only Trond Wærstad’ s and Han Chen’s dedication but also teamwork, operational strength, and project management excellence across Høglund.
