Access to your data- a simple matter?

Imagine that you already have an automation system from another maker and are not ready for a major investment. You are happy enough with the system you have, but it is often difficult to get the information you need. As the maritime and especially, the environmental regulations become more and more
stringent, it is getting increasingly urgent to gain access to good operational, environmental and safety data, in order to understand and improve your vessel’s performance. Data, which you do not quite know how to get a hold of.

Fortunately, you do not need to worry! Even though you might not have Høglund integrated automation system on board your vessel, we can still do our magic to gain access to your data, and let you dive into it.

All we need to do is install Høglund Data Collection software, as a stand-alone solution. It is as easy as that.
The software will then collect the relevant information from defined subsystems, including alarms and events, engine, cargo and navigational data. All of this data automatically transferred to and available through our Cloud solution for live analysis, Høglund Connect.

If you in addition need to collect and monitor your fuel consumption data, you can add Høglund Ship Performance Monitor (SPM) to the delivery. In any case, you will have full flexibility to tailor your digital content and reports to get most value from your data.

Høglund Ship Performance Monitor

Høglund Ship Performance Monitor (SPM) is a highly adaptable fuel monitoring software, designed to help manage and improve the vessel
efficiency. Data is automatically mirrored from the vessel to the Cloud and available through Høglund Connect, our Digital portal.

Høglund SPM can also be delivered as stand-alone software in addition to the Høglund Data Collection, for an even broader picture of the vessel’s
operational performance.

What needs to be done?

To install our Data Collection and/or SPM software as a stand-alone solution, Høglund needs to add an operator station with a monitor to the Engine
Control Room, together with a din-rail mounted controller with a communication link to the existing IAS system. Through this link, Høglund will be able to read relevant data such as engine load and fuel rate, thruster load and so on. There may also be another operator station with monitor installed on the bridge together with a din-rail mounted connection unit for NMEA GPS, speed log and wind sensor.

In addition to these small hardware upgrades, new software will be installed. All data will be accessed through our Høglund Connect portal.

Enhanced Cyber-security

Security is safeguarded by marine-approved Høglund cSafe firewall solution, per default installed on all Høglund systems. The solution gives the following benefits:

• Easy activation of remote access by pressing a button when needed
• Remote access directly to all operator stations in the system
• Granted access only for security- authorized Høglund personnel
• All data entering and leaving the system is segregated from other systems, making it the only access point
